Please Whitelist This Site?

I know everyone hates ads. But please understand that I am providing premium content for free that takes hundreds of hours of time to research and write. If I can't make at least a little bit of money to support my family via this site, I'll have to stop working on it.

One alternative is to become a RuneScoop member. It's cheap, you get access to all of the site with no ads, and you help keep the lights on around here.

If you want to use this site for free, I'd be grateful if you could add RuneScoop to the whitelist for Adblock. To do so, just open the Adblock menu and select "Disable on Runescoop.com". Or go to the Tools menu and select "Adblock Plus Preferences...". Then click "Add Filter..." at the bottom, and add this string: "@@http://*runescoop.com/*". Then just click OK.

Thanks for your understanding!

Sincerely... Qeltar, aka Charles, your hard-working host and RuneScape guide-writer extraordinaire. :)

Spinning Wheels

Spinning wheels in Daemonheim look very similar to the ones in the rest of Gielinor. They are reasonably common skill stations and one is always located in the starting room of every floor, usually next to the Runecrafting altar.

Daemonheim spinning wheels are used to transform the fibers of textile plants into cloth, which is then used to make magic robes. Now, in the rest of RuneScape (and in the real world), spinning wheels are used to make yarn, and looms turn the yarn into cloth. I’m not sure exactly how a spinning wheel can make cloth, but I guess we can just say it’s due to the special magic of Daemonheim. That always covers the bases nicely. :)

Using a spinning wheel is quite simple: just click on it, select the type of cloth you want to make, and then choose a quantity. You can also use a particular type of textile plant on the wheel to skip the cloth selection step.

To make cloth, you must have a Crafting level corresponding to the standard level associated with the tier of the textile you are spinning. For example, runeleaf is a tier 9 textile, requiring level 80 Farming to pick. To make it into runic cloth, you need level 80 Crafting. This is also the minimum level to make runic robes from the cloth, with some robe items needing levels between 80 and 89. For details, see the Crafting skill tables for cloth and magic robes.

A spinning wheel is not necessary to craft leather armor from bovimastyx hides.
