Please Whitelist This Site?

I know everyone hates ads. But please understand that I am providing premium content for free that takes hundreds of hours of time to research and write. If I can't make at least a little bit of money to support my family via this site, I'll have to stop working on it.

One alternative is to become a RuneScoop member. It's cheap, you get access to all of the site with no ads, and you help keep the lights on around here.

If you want to use this site for free, I'd be grateful if you could add RuneScoop to the whitelist for Adblock. To do so, just open the Adblock menu and select "Disable on Runescoop.com". Or go to the Tools menu and select "Adblock Plus Preferences...". Then click "Add Filter..." at the bottom, and add this string: "@@http://*runescoop.com/*". Then just click OK.

Thanks for your understanding!

Sincerely... Qeltar, aka Charles, your hard-working host and RuneScape guide-writer extraordinaire. :)

Fishing Spots (Raw Fish)

Fishing spots in Daemonheim appear as small, overlapping, expanding circles in a body of water, very similar to the ones in regular RuneScape. These spots do not move around like they do above ground. They are found in all dungeons except those of complexity level 1.

Daemonheim fishing spots can be located in nearly any small pool or puddle of water, and can be easy to miss, so look carefully for them if you get a seafood craving. I’ve often missed one and only spotted it later on when going back looking for them when I found myself short on food.

All fishing in the dungeons is fly fishing, and you can get a fishing rod and feathers cheaply from the smuggler. Like all resources in Daemonheim, fishing spots are a limited resource, generally yielding about 10 to 12 fish before disappearing. Fishing in the dungeons is relatively quick, even for high-level fish.

Each spot yields exactly one type of raw fish, and all of the spots look the same, so you need to hover your mouse over the spot to see what kind of fish it contains. In general, the types of fishing spots provided are linked to the Fishing levels of players, so higher-level players are more likely to find high-level fish, and lower-level players low-level fish. Fishing can be boosted using weak, regular or strong gatherer’s potions.

Raw fish needs to be cooked before it can be eaten or used to make topped potatoes. This can be done either with an open fire, or a cooking range, with the latter providing a better chance of success.

The Fishing skill table lists all of the types of fish that can be caught, the Fishing level required, and the XP you get for each one you haul out.
