Collapsing Tunnels You enter a room with corridors clogged with falling and fallen rocks. You must clear away the rubble and reinforce the support struts to prevent additional rocks from falling in your way (or worse, on your head). This room, which often looks something like a swastika, features north-south and east-west corridors both blocked with large rocks. (Sorry, but it does look like one! Not reading anything into that, but it does. :) ) These rocks have fallen from the ceiling due to collapsing struts in each of the four half-corridors leading from the walls to the center. You have to mine away the rocks, then repair the struts so no more rocks fall. This seems simple enough, but each time you try to either clear rocks or fix a strut, theres a chance of failing and taking up to a whopping 500 LP of damage. You also often get hit multiple times, making this one of the most dangerous challenge rooms in Daemonheim. An interesting aspect of this challenge is that its doors may be skill doors, which is not usually the case in puzzle rooms.
A few tips will make this challenge a bit less painful (figuratively and literally for your character). First, take note of where the doors are; you dont need to clear any of the four paths from the center if they lead to a wall without a door. However, it is possible that the paths that dont have doors may lead to skill resources; scan around carefully to decide if they are worth clearing. You only have to clear the debris from one side and fix one strut. Rocks will continue to fall on the other side, but you can pass by unharmed. Be sure to immediately repair the strut after you clear the rocks next to it. If you dont, in only a few seconds more rocks will replace the ones you mined away. Heal immediately if you get hit, because you might well get hit again on the next click. The puzzle is the same for teams, and can be done by one player or by several at once. However, it is common for the puzzle to need to be done by whoever has the highest Mining level.
