The RuneScoop Skill Optimization Guide for RuneScape - Fishing Fishing is one of the oldest skills in RuneScape, and so it is perhaps appropriate that it be the first skill in the RuneScoop Skill Optimization Guide for RuneScape. As you know, it is used primarily to allow players to get raw fish that can be cooked (using the Cooking skill) for food. Since RuneScape uses food to heal damage, as well as providing other benefits to players, it is always in demand, and thus so are fish. This makes Fishing a perennially popular skill, trained by those who catch fish for their own use, as well as those who primarily sell fish to other players. Fishing is an F2P skill, and there are several training options available for it for non-members. However, members get not only superior fish to catchespecially at higher levelsbut also access to better areas and enhancing features that make the skill more profitable and more enjoyable to train. This guide includes both F2P and P2P optimized versions for fish that can be caught in F2P. Fishing speed depends on the players Fishing level, though the impact of level on speed varies from one fish to another. In some cases, level also impacts what type of fish are obtained using a particular method, and the percentage of each fish may change as level increases.
