Please Whitelist This Site?

I know everyone hates ads. But please understand that I am providing premium content for free that takes hundreds of hours of time to research and write. If I can't make at least a little bit of money to support my family via this site, I'll have to stop working on it.

One alternative is to become a RuneScoop member. It's cheap, you get access to all of the site with no ads, and you help keep the lights on around here.

If you want to use this site for free, I'd be grateful if you could add RuneScoop to the whitelist for Adblock. To do so, just open the Adblock menu and select "Disable on Runescoop.com". Or go to the Tools menu and select "Adblock Plus Preferences...". Then click "Add Filter..." at the bottom, and add this string: "@@http://*runescoop.com/*". Then just click OK.

Thanks for your understanding!

Sincerely... Qeltar, aka Charles, your hard-working host and RuneScape guide-writer extraordinaire. :)

The RuneScoop Healing Efficiency Guide for RuneScape

In RuneScape, the main way you heal damage (loss of life points) is by eating food. The game includes dozens of different food items, ranging from fish to meat to pizzas, and even “gourmet” items like baked potatoes with special toppings. There are also some specialty ways to heal that aren’t food, but for the most part, when you get hurt, it’s time to chow down!

Foods differ primarily in three ways: how much they heal; how many bites it takes to eat them; and how much they cost. In some situations you just want the best food you can carry, but in many others, you want to get the best possible “bang for your buck”: the most healing for the least gold. But with so many options, and with food prices changing daily, it can be hard to figure out what is the most cost-effective food to use for routine activities.

Enter the RuneScoop Healing Efficiency Guide! The four pages in this section each contain a table of commonly-used food items, showing you key details about them, and ranking them by overall efficiency (LP of healing per 100 gold pieces of cost). The first table lists all foods, the second only foods available in F2P, the third only “good foods” (those that heal 120 LP or more and have 1 or 2 bites) and the fourth “good foods” in F2P (those that heal 80 LP or more and have 1 or 2 bites).

The tables are really quite easy to understand, so feel free to dive right in. If you want more specifics on how the tables work, and information on how I decided which food items to include and exclude, please see the reference page.
