I know everyone hates ads. But please understand that I am providing premium content for free that takes hundreds of hours of time to research and write. If I can't make at least a little bit of money to support my family via this site, I'll have to stop working on it.
One alternative is to become a RuneScoop member. It's cheap, you get access to all of the site with no ads, and you help keep the lights on around here.
If you want to use this site for free, I'd be grateful if you could add RuneScoop to the whitelist for Adblock. To do so, just open the Adblock menu and select "Disable on Runescoop.com". Or go to the Tools menu and select "Adblock Plus Preferences...". Then click "Add Filter..." at the bottom, and add this string: "@@http://*runescoop.com/*". Then just click OK.
Thanks for your understanding!
Sincerely... Qeltar, aka Charles, your hard-working host and RuneScape guide-writer extraordinaire. :)

The Beastopedia
Monster Index is exactly what the name
suggests: a master index of all of the monsters covered in this guide.
It is a great starting point for finding a monster you are interested
in when you first come to the Beastopedia, as well as for comparing
various monsters.
The index is comprised of a single
large table that tells you all about every monsters essential
characteristics, and lets you quickly access each ones monster
page. The table has the following ten columns:
Monster: The name of the monster; click
it to go to its monster page.
Level: The monsters combat level.
Life Points: The monsters nominal
life points total. Note that this doesnt take into account regeneration,
special abilities and so forth.
Aggressive? Whether the monster is aggressive
or not. Monsters that are permanently aggressiveremain aggressive
instead of it wearing offare so indicated. Those with special
aggressiveness behavior say Special; see the description
of monster
page General Information tables for more.
Slayer Level: For Slayer-only monsters,
the minimum Slayer level required for it to be assigned or killed. Regular
monsters that can also be assigned by Slayer Masters have an effective
Slayer level of 1; monsters not associated with the Slayer skill have
a null entry (--).
Access: Whether the monster is members
only (P2P for pay to play) or for all players
(F2P+P2P for free to play and pay to play).
Melee Max, Ranged Max and Magic Max: The
monsters maximum normal hit with its melee, ranged and magic attacks,
if applicable. In some cases these may be estimated.
Poison Max: The maximum amount of damage
done by this monsters poison when it first activates, where relevant.
When you first load the Monster Index,
the table is shown with monsters listed alphabetically by name. Like
all of the resource tables, though, it is sortable, provided
that you have Javascript enabled on your browser. To change the order
of the table, simply click on one of the other column headingsonce
for ascending order, or twice for descending order. For example, if
you want to see all the monsters ordered by maximum melee hit with the
highest first, click on Melee Max twice.
Sponsored links help make RuneScoop possible; RuneScoop members don't see them. See here for more information about ads.
The column by which the table is
currently sorted will have a darker shade in its column header.
You can also sort by two columns
at once by clicking one, holding down the <Shift> key and clicking
another. For example, if you click Slayer Level twice, then
hold down <Shift> and click Level twice, the monsters
will be sorted by Slayer level in descending order, and then by combat
level in descending order for each Slayer level.
