The RuneScoop Skill Optimization Guide for RuneScape - Crafting - Activity Descriptions - Glass There are two basic types of glass-related activities within Crafting: making molten glass, and then blowing it into various objects. Molten glass is tradeable, so you can just buy molten glass to use for glassblowing, or you can make it yourself. This gives a decent amount of Crafting XP, and at one point also was profitable. Today it usually incurs a slight loss, likely not only because of the XP you get making the glass, but also the existence of the Superglass Make spell, which gives bonus glass along with generous amounts of XP. It is easy to do, and well-suited to multitasking, because you can do the entire task at a bank. It also gives generally decent to very good XP rates, especially at higher levels. Of course, like most skill activities that earn good XP, lots of players engage in it, which results in large demand for molten glass, raising its cost, and large supplies of end products of glassblowing, generally depressing their value. The result is that making glass items can incur a fairly hefty financial cost, though some items are better than others in that regard.
