General Discussion

Players casually training the Prayer skill bury or collect bones as they fight monsters, or buy bones specifically to bury or use for other methods, such as offering them on a player-owned house altar. Another option is to make use of bone spawns. There aren't many of these, and they are only the lowest-level, "regular" bones, so this is far from being a speedy method. But it is a viable alternative for lower-level players, especially in F2P.

The best place for gathering and burying bones is at the Chaos Altar in the low-level Wilderness.

Location and Access

The Chaos Altar is located at around level 10-12 Wilderness, north of Varrock. Members can get there most easily by teleporting to the Fist of Guthix minigame, exiting up the stairs and running north. Non-members will have to run north from Varrock.

Required and Recommended Equipment

None needed. In fact, I recommend not bringing any items; this way, if you get killed by a revenant, it really doesn't matter.

Familiar Suggestions

If you're a member, I recommend summoning a foraging familiar to earn extra money while you work -- I prefer the magpie, given the high value of rings and gems today. There isn't a really worthwhile forager below Summoning level 47, so I wouldn't bother with a familiar at lower levels.

Technique and Tips

Log in to a reasonably full world; this will speed up the bone respawns.

There are 15 bone spawns around the Chaos Altar, but 10 of them are near each other, and you should focus on those. Just pick up all 10 and then bury them -- by the time you are done, the bones should have started respawning. On a world with about 1200-1500 players, you should be able to do each round in just under 40 seconds.

Revenant attacks are pretty rare, but really it doesn't matter much anyway -- if the revenant kills you, just switch worlds and run back again.
