The lowest-level of the new "extreme" potions is the recover special potion, which restores 25% of special attack energy per dose. To prevent this from being too powerful, Jagex imposed a one-dose per 30 second limit on this potion, but it is still quite potent. It is made by adding a papaya fruit to a 3-dose super energy potion. Since only a single step is required, making this potion is faster than regular two-step potions, making this an attractive option for power-trainers.

Recover special potions are untradeable, but certainly not valueless. For example, if used with a Saradomin godsword in combat, it can partially replace both prayer potions and food; Each dose represents half a special attack with the SGS, and if the average special restores 10 prayer points and 200 life points, then each recover special (3) is equivalent to 15 prayer points and 300 life points. Similar calculations of benefit can be made for many other weapons, like getting an extra attack for each dose on a dragon dagger.

Based on these and other calculations, I've assigned a value to this potion of 4,500 gp. That's somewhat arbitrary, but hey, gotta use something. :)

Familiar Suggestions

Summon a foraging familiar to earn extra money for you while you work -- I prefer the magpie, given the high value of rings and gems today.

Technique and Tips

Take out 14 super energy potions and 14 papayas. Carefully right-click one potion and then click a papaya. When prompted, right-click the main message area and choose "Make All". Wait for the potions to be made, bank and repeat. This takes only about 32 seconds so you can make over 1,500 per hour.
