I know everyone hates ads. But please understand that I am providing premium content for free that takes hundreds of hours of time to research and write. If I can't make at least a little bit of money to support my family via this site, I'll have to stop working on it.
One alternative is to become a RuneScoop member. It's cheap, you get access to all of the site with no ads, and you help keep the lights on around here.
If you want to use this site for free, I'd be grateful if you could add RuneScoop to the whitelist for Adblock. To do so, just open the Adblock menu and select "Disable on Runescoop.com". Or go to the Tools menu and select "Adblock Plus Preferences...". Then click "Add Filter..." at the bottom, and add this string: "@@http://*runescoop.com/*". Then just click OK.
Thanks for your understanding!
Sincerely... Qeltar, aka Charles, your hard-working host and RuneScape guide-writer extraordinaire. :)

Analysis, Discussion and Tips for Success
General Discussion
Barbarian Herblore allows players to add roe or caviar -- obtained from Barbarian heavy rod fishing -- to 24 different regular potions to make Barbarian mixes. These special potions behave the same way as the potions they started out with, but also heal either 30 or 60 LP per dose. The five lowest-level potions can be made with roe, and heal 30 LP per dose; the remainder require caviar and heal 60 LP per dose. (You can use caviar on the lower-level ones, but they still heal the same, and since roe is much cheaper that's a waste.) You also get Herblore XP for making the potions.
Unfortunately, there are several drawbacks to making Barbarian mixes. First, you must make them with 2-dose potions, which requires splitting 4-dose potions, a process that takes time. Second, you cannot combine the mixes together again, so 2 doses per vial is the limit. And finally, the market for most of these mixes is poor, so in most cases you lose money on them (but not all).
Super defence mixes are made by adding caviar to regular super defence potions. Both super defence and super defence mix pots are low in value.
Note that if you can make extreme defence potions, that may be a better way to reuse your super defence potions than making these mixes.
Location and Access
You can make potions at any bank, but a one-click bank like Castle Wars is preferred.
Required and Recommended Equipment
No equipment is needed.
Required and Recommended Supplies
No supplies are required, aside from the input ingredients.
Familiar Suggestions
Summon a foraging familiar to earn extra money for you while you work -- I prefer the magpie, given the high value of rings and gems today.
Technique and Tips
I assume you are starting with 4-dose potions. If you are starting with 3-dose pots, first convert them to 4-dose with the help of Bob Barter at the Grand Exchange, then use the 4-dose potions he gives you and the empty vials to split the 4-dose pots into 2-dose versions. Of course if you are lucky, you may be able to buy 2-dose versions, but don't count on it.
Set your Withdraw-X to 13, and take out 13 potions, then 13 empty vials. Now click one potion and one vial in your bank to take out a 14th of each. Move the mouse down to the last vial in your inventory, click it, then click the potion next to it. Repeat 13 times to split the potions (there is no "Make-X" for this activity). Work quickly but be careful not to drink the potion by mistake. Repeat several times until you have all the 2-dose potions you need.
Now withdraw 13 of the 2-dose potions and 13 caviar, then one more of each as before. Click the caviar at the bottom right, then the potion next to it, and repeat 13 times. Bank the mixes and repeat.
