I know everyone hates ads. But please understand that I am providing premium content for free that takes hundreds of hours of time to research and write. If I can't make at least a little bit of money to support my family via this site, I'll have to stop working on it.
One alternative is to become a RuneScoop member. It's cheap, you get access to all of the site with no ads, and you help keep the lights on around here.
If you want to use this site for free, I'd be grateful if you could add RuneScoop to the whitelist for Adblock. To do so, just open the Adblock menu and select "Disable on Runescoop.com". Or go to the Tools menu and select "Adblock Plus Preferences...". Then click "Add Filter..." at the bottom, and add this string: "@@http://*runescoop.com/*". Then just click OK.
Thanks for your understanding!
Sincerely... Qeltar, aka Charles, your hard-working host and RuneScape guide-writer extraordinaire. :)

Method Description, Instructions and Tips for Success
General Description
Due to the constant crowding at magic trees, I recommend cutting at the tree patch in Falador, using a hydra familiar and Regrowth scrolls to instantly respawn the stump. With this method you can cut continuously without
ever having to compete with other players or wait for anything.
This method lets you cut more logs, so you get more XP, and you never have to worry about crowds or waiting around or world hopping. On the downside, you need 80 Summoning, and you have to use up scrolls. It's also not suitable if you're using all of your tree patches to train Farming.
I prefer this method overall, even during quiet periods, as I prefer not having to worry about finding a quiet world or waiting for lengthy respawns. I also don't have to deal with incessant nonsense chatter.
Note that birds' nests are not included as output here as they are too rare and unpredictable for me to estimate their average value.
Specific Method Details
Equip a dragon hatchet and a strung rabbit's foot. Summon a hydra and take out of the bank a number of Regrowth scrolls. Teleport to Falador and run east to the tree patch there. Cut logs until your inventory is full, using Regrowth scrolls when needed. Then run to the Falador east bank, store the logs and repeat.
One tip is that you can temporarily drop Regrowth scrolls at the tree to save an inventory slot and then pick them up again after banking; you get one more log per trip this way.
Note that this also works well with the tree patch in Varrock.
