I know everyone hates ads. But please understand that I am providing premium content for free that takes hundreds of hours of time to research and write. If I can't make at least a little bit of money to support my family via this site, I'll have to stop working on it.
One alternative is to become a RuneScoop member. It's cheap, you get access to all of the site with no ads, and you help keep the lights on around here.
If you want to use this site for free, I'd be grateful if you could add RuneScoop to the whitelist for Adblock. To do so, just open the Adblock menu and select "Disable on Runescoop.com". Or go to the Tools menu and select "Adblock Plus Preferences...". Then click "Add Filter..." at the bottom, and add this string: "@@http://*runescoop.com/*". Then just click OK.
Thanks for your understanding!
Sincerely... Qeltar, aka Charles, your hard-working host and RuneScape guide-writer extraordinaire. :)

Nature runes are one of the most popular type to craft. While they have come down in value since the start of 2008, they are still a good way to make money and earn Runecrafting experience.
There are many different approaches for runecrafting nature runes, but the fastest method these days is to use a spirit graahk familiar, which provides unlimited teleports to a hunting area conveniently adjacent to the nature altar. One drawback, of course, is that using this familiar means you can't use an abyssal familiar to carry more essence, but the faster trips more than make up for this.
You need level 57 Summoning to use the spirit graahk. For those who do not have that level, I have devised a different method, which makes use of the fairy ring on Karamja and rings of slaying, which you can make after you unlock the secret to them using Slayer points.
An alternative method for making natures is via the abyss, but this is both slower and more dangerous than using the spirit graahk. For those unable to use the graahk, the abyss method will let you make more runes per hour, but bear in mind that the Abyss can be a dangerous place for those with middling combat skills.
Thanks to the November 2009 Runecrafting update, you start to get double natures above level 44, though not many until your level gets significantly higher. At level 91 Runecrafting you get two nature runes per essence. This is the "Holy Grail" of runecrafters and a very good moneymaker even with nature rune prices well off their historical high prices.
