Method Description, Instructions and Tips for Success

General Description

Law runes are used for teleports and are always in demand; they can be crafted effectively either by using the balloon network or the Abyss, each of which has pros and cons. The balloon method's advantages are that you avoid having to go into the Wilderness, so you don’t have to worry about revenant attack or getting skulled. You also don't have to recharge amulets of glory or deal with damage from abyssal monsters. The abyss method, however, lets you craft faster. It also makes it easy to repair your Runecrafting pouches.

Remember that you cannot bring armor or weapons to Entrana. You also cannot bring any Summoning familiars, so this rules out an abyssal familiar to carry extra essence, which reduces the number of runes you can make per hour.

Despite the running involved with this method, there is no need for energy potions due to the changes made with the June 2009 run energy update.

Specific Method Details

Start at Castle Wars bank, equipping your weight-reducing gear, a ring of duelling, charged amulet of glory and law tiara. Take out your three Runecrafting pouches and a set of regular logs, then an inventory of pure essence. Fill the pouches, then take out more essence. Run east out of CW and north to the balloon, right-click it and choose "Fly", then travel to Entrana.

Run east, passing through the large chapel (it's the most direct route.) Turn north towards the ruins, enter and craft the runes in your inventory; then empty your pouches and craft again. Use your ring of duelling to bank at Castle Wars and repeat.

When your pouches start to degrade, substitute an abyss method run and while there, repair your pouches at the dark mage.
