I know everyone hates ads. But please understand that I am providing premium content for free that takes hundreds of hours of time to research and write. If I can't make at least a little bit of money to support my family via this site, I'll have to stop working on it.
One alternative is to become a RuneScoop member. It's cheap, you get access to all of the site with no ads, and you help keep the lights on around here.
If you want to use this site for free, I'd be grateful if you could add RuneScoop to the whitelist for Adblock. To do so, just open the Adblock menu and select "Disable on Runescoop.com". Or go to the Tools menu and select "Adblock Plus Preferences...". Then click "Add Filter..." at the bottom, and add this string: "@@http://*runescoop.com/*". Then just click OK.
Thanks for your understanding!

Method Description, Instructions and Tips for Success
General Description
The Fishing Trawler is the only way to get sea turtles (Fishing level 79) and manta rays (level 81) in the game. These fish, when cooked, heal 21 HP and 22 HP respectively, making them quite valuable. While you can do the Fishing Trawler at lower fishing levels, you will only get mundane fish such as shark, swordfish and tuna -- there's really no point bothering since you can catch far more of these with conventional methods.
Use the Ardougne cloak 3 (or lower versions) to get to Port Khazard quickly.
Tip: If you have a berry patch near the monastery, you can pick berries from it and bank them before you hit the trawler!
Specific Method Details
This is a team minigame, so log in to world 116, the one designated for this activity. Use your Ardougne cloak 3 to teleport to the monastery south of Ardougne. Then open the door and run southeast to Khazard.
Go to one of the stores in Port Khazard and buy a bailing bucket and some swamp paste (or bring these from the bank). Deposit the rest of your money in the deposit box near where the minigame starts, and cross the gangplank on the boat. You will have to wait for the current game to end, which will take up to 10 minutes. Then you'll be on the boat for the next game.
Once the game begins, watch the water level and start bailing when it gets high enough for you to do so. You could instead buy ropes to fix the nets, or swamp paste to plug holes. Only two net fixers are needed per ship, however,... and plugging holes is really not necessary and just wastes your money. Do it only if your activity meter starts to get so low that you risk being kicked off the ship.
When the ship is done it will return to port. Quickly go to the net, retrieve your catch, drag it to the deposit box and repeat. You can do 5 trips per hour.
At very high levels you will mostly get manta rays, with a few sea turtles and occasionally other fish tossed in as well. You can also get junk such as buttons, damaged armor and damaged swords. Keep the damaged gear to use on a repair stand in your player owned house -- you get 25 Smithing XP for this, and the last time I did it, I got a mith plate!
