Please Whitelist This Site?

I know everyone hates ads. But please understand that I am providing premium content for free that takes hundreds of hours of time to research and write. If I can't make at least a little bit of money to support my family via this site, I'll have to stop working on it.

One alternative is to become a RuneScoop member. It's cheap, you get access to all of the site with no ads, and you help keep the lights on around here.

If you want to use this site for free, I'd be grateful if you could add RuneScoop to the whitelist for Adblock. To do so, just open the Adblock menu and select "Disable on Runescoop.com". Or go to the Tools menu and select "Adblock Plus Preferences...". Then click "Add Filter..." at the bottom, and add this string: "@@http://*runescoop.com/*". Then just click OK.

Thanks for your understanding!

Sincerely... Qeltar, aka Charles, your hard-working host and RuneScape guide-writer extraordinaire. :)

Method Description, Instructions and Tips for Success

General Description

It used to be possible to buy lots of pineapples and seaweed at the charter shops found in various locations in RuneScape, and one of the most popular was the one at Catherby. When shops were overhauled these were removed, but to let players still get a limited number of pineapples and seaweed each day, Arhein (the general store owner at Catherby) was given a limited stock of each. To access these resources, you must talk with him and ask to buy them. You are allowed to buy 40 pineapples and 80 seaweed per day; they only cost 2 gp each and sell for many multiples of that amount at the Grand Exchange. And since Jagex recently changed Arhein so he gives his items noted, the entire process is very quick.

The method here is identical for all levels, except for how you get to Catherby.

Note that while in the area, this is also a good time to check on your Farming patch in Catherby. Also, if you're after pineapples, don't forget to grab your daily quota of 40 free ones, a reward for completing the Karamja Achievement Diary!

Specific Method Details

At any bank, take out 240 gp and a Camelot teleport tablet. Break the tablet and run southeast to Catherby. Talk to Arhein and say you want to buy pineapples, then choose a quantity of 40. Go through the dialog until the pineapples appear. Now talk to him again and say you want to buy seaweed; select 80 as the quantity and click through the dialogs. Run to the Catherby bank and deposit everything; the whole process takes less than a minute.
