General Description

This technique involves picking flax and immediately spinning it into bow strings, taking advantage of the close proximity of the flax field, spinning wheel and bank in Seers' Village. Since it is essentially a combination of flax gathering and bowstring crafting, it shares attributes of both of those methods, and depending on current prices, may be a good compromise between the two. It is also middling in its multitasking suitability, since the flax part requires constant attention, while the spinning does not.

Don't use a beast of burden here at any level, as it will only get in your way at the spinning wheel, and you can't swap the bowstrings you've made for more flax easily. Just use a foraging familiar like a magpie.

Thanks to the June 2009 run energy update, no energy potions are needed even at very low levels (since it all restores while you spin the flax). Note that this run energy update also means that there is effectively no difference between level versions of this activity.

Specific Method Details

Get to Seers' Village in whatever way is most convenient, which at this level probably means a Camelot Teleport tablet. At the bank, put on boots of lightness. Run southeast to the flax fields and pick 28 flax. Run northwest to the room with the spinning wheel and go upstairs; click the wheel, right-click the bow string option and choose "Make All". Wait until the spinning is complete, then return to the bank and repeat.
