I know everyone hates ads. But please understand that I am providing premium content for free that takes hundreds of hours of time to research and write. If I can't make at least a little bit of money to support my family via this site, I'll have to stop working on it.
One alternative is to become a RuneScoop member. It's cheap, you get access to all of the site with no ads, and you help keep the lights on around here.
If you want to use this site for free, I'd be grateful if you could add RuneScoop to the whitelist for Adblock. To do so, just open the Adblock menu and select "Disable on Runescoop.com". Or go to the Tools menu and select "Adblock Plus Preferences...". Then click "Add Filter..." at the bottom, and add this string: "@@http://*runescoop.com/*". Then just click OK.
Thanks for your understanding!
Sincerely... Qeltar, aka Charles, your hard-working host and RuneScape guide-writer extraordinaire. :)

For a long time it was very hard to make money with Hunter, but that all changed when Summoning was released. Now you can make good money with the skill in many ways, such as tracking polar kebbits for their valuable fur.
Tracking is different from some other Hunter methods because how fast you do it is based on the player's skill and not the character's skill level. Higher-level players gain other advantages, especially the ability to use an arctic bear familiar's convenient teleport. It also used to be the case that higher Agility levels helped with conserving and restoring run energy, but changes to the game have made this far less important.
Even at level 10 you can do pretty well -- the main limiting factor is that at very low levels it is hard to get to the area quickly, and low Agility levels make run energy an issue. Level 30 is similar for access but energy is already not an issue. At mid levels you can use the fairy rings which makes it much easier to get to the hunting grounds; finally, at high and very high levels you can get to the hunting grounds fast using an arctic bear familiar in combination with a spirit terrorbird. Don't bother with a higher-level familiar as they are expensive and not needed here.
This method requires near constant attention; you won't be at risk if you don't, but you won't progress in your task.
