I know everyone hates ads. But please understand that I am providing premium content for free that takes hundreds of hours of time to research and write. If I can't make at least a little bit of money to support my family via this site, I'll have to stop working on it.
One alternative is to become a RuneScoop member. It's cheap, you get access to all of the site with no ads, and you help keep the lights on around here.
If you want to use this site for free, I'd be grateful if you could add RuneScoop to the whitelist for Adblock. To do so, just open the Adblock menu and select "Disable on Runescoop.com". Or go to the Tools menu and select "Adblock Plus Preferences...". Then click "Add Filter..." at the bottom, and add this string: "@@http://*runescoop.com/*". Then just click OK.
Thanks for your understanding!
Sincerely... Qeltar, aka Charles, your hard-working host and RuneScape guide-writer extraordinaire. :)

Method Description, Instructions and Tips for Success
General Description
Horned graahk fur is used both to make camouflage gear for hunters and by Summoners for making spirit graahk pouches. These pouches are in high demand by nature runecrafters, so the furs are quite valuable. Thus, even though it is somewhat slow to catch them at level 50, it is worthwhile. At level 70 these monsters are reasonably quick to catch, and rarely jump the traps, and at level 90 you can get them very quickly as they almost never do.
Be sure you are on a full world and you are on low detail mode. High detail mode looks pretty but that eye candy really slows you down as it makes it hard to find the traps and avoid obstacles. Use a beast of burden to hold extra logs and furs.
Specific Method Details
Wear a full set of larupia armor when hunting, as this increases your chances of success. Some weight-reducing gear is good (though not essential any more), along with a dramen/lunar staff for the fairy rings.
Get to Zanaris and go to the bank there. Take out a spirit terrorbird pouch, knife, woodcutting axe, teasing stick and an inventory full of willow logs. Summon the familiar, put 12 logs in it, and take 12 more out.
Run southeast to the fairy ring and dial in "C K R". Click the area just to your west and ta-da, you are right in the graahk area. The best pitfall to use is near the eastern edge of the hunting grounds, oriented north/south, with a dead tree just north of it and two more to its south.
Set the trap and find a graahk and poke it. When it goes onto the trap dismantle it; keep the good furs, drop the "tatty" ones and bury big bones for Prayer XP. Take the logs from your familiar and cut trees regularly to replace the logs you use up. Continue with this process until your inventory is full of good quality graahk furs. You may have to temporarily drop one of these near the end to have enough room to dismantle the trap.
Watch your familiar's timer, aiming to head back to the bank with as many furs and bones as possible. Definitely leave no later than when you get the one minute warning that your familiar is about to expire.
At this level you'll get a fairly low percentage of good graahk furs, so you'll have to bank with a fair number of big bones per trip. At the bank in Zanaris, heal damage, summon a new terrorbird and repeat the process.
