General Description

Snape grass is the secondary ingredient for prayer potions (as well as others) and so is always in demand. Waterbirth Island is the best place to gather it, though the ease of getting there depends on your levels.

At level 30 skills, I assume that you have not yet completed The Fremennik Trials, which means having to pay Jarvald 1000 gp for each trip to Waterbirth Island. If the quest is done then this payment can be skipped (more profit!)

With level 70 skills you should be able to complete Lunar Diplomacy. This lets you access the Lunar Magicks Waterbirth Teleport spell, which is ideal for getting lots of snape grass quickly.

Specific Method Details

Equip weight reducing gear and a ring of duelling, and summon a spirit terrorbird (or bull ant if below level 52 Summoning). Be sure your house teleport option is set so you arrive outside your house; to do this, go into Options, then House Options, and set "When teleporting, arrive:" to "At portal". This saves time on each run. Take out one law rune and one dust rune, and teleport to your house; you'll arrive just south of Rellekka.

Run north into town, the northwest to the docks, right-click Jarvald and choose "Travel". When you arrive, run northwest, then west all the way to the coast -- you'll see six snape grass in a north/south orientation. First, run to the southern part of this pattern and "wake up" the two rock crabs in the area. Once awake, quickly run east for a couple of clicks and then come back -- the crabs should now leave you alone.

Pick up all six snape grass twice, and put those 12 in the spirit terrorbird. Then continue picking up more until your inventory is full. When done, use a ring of duelling to go to Castle Wars and bank there, then repeat. Due to the recent run energy update, you shouldn't need energy restoration at this level.

You can collect 40 snape grass in about 2 minutes 50 seconds total, which is about 845 per hour.
