I know everyone hates ads. But please understand that I am providing premium content for free that takes hundreds of hours of time to research and write. If I can't make at least a little bit of money to support my family via this site, I'll have to stop working on it.
One alternative is to become a RuneScoop member. It's cheap, you get access to all of the site with no ads, and you help keep the lights on around here.
If you want to use this site for free, I'd be grateful if you could add RuneScoop to the whitelist for Adblock. To do so, just open the Adblock menu and select "Disable on Runescoop.com". Or go to the Tools menu and select "Adblock Plus Preferences...". Then click "Add Filter..." at the bottom, and add this string: "@@http://*runescoop.com/*". Then just click OK.
Thanks for your understanding!
Sincerely... Qeltar, aka Charles, your hard-working host and RuneScape guide-writer extraordinaire. :)

Method Description, Instructions and Tips for Success
General Description
Green dragons are one of the "old standby" monsters used by those looking to make money via combat. They are mostly found in the Wilderness, but there are now some in the Chaos Tunnels as well.
I prefer the tunnels, even though they are multicombat, there are baby black dragons in the same room with the greens (which are level 83 -- big babies). Why? Three reasons. First, the Wilderness spots are constantly overcrowded with players, so you waste tons of time running around or waiting around. Second, the revenants are a nuisance. And finally, in a multi area you can get some combat help from a familiar (though we are mostly using our familiar to carry drops here.) That said, even the chaos tunnels are often crowded now. This is a shame, because without the crowds it would be possible to get even more kills per hour at very high levels using the Winter Storage scroll of the pack yak. But in my tests, it is not often possible to fight continuously at very high levels because of all the crowding.
At level 50 skills you need to use prayer to fight these effectively; higher level players can get by with armor and food.
Specific Method Details
Start at Edgeville, putting on melee gear (including a dragonfire shield if you have one) and taking out a 2-dose antifire potion, any size of super attack, super strength and super defence potions, about 10 salmon, a home tablet and a pack yak pouch. Drink one dose from each of the super attack, strength and defence potions and put the rest of those vials back in the bank.
Run northeast from the bank, cross the bridge and enter the Wild. Run northeast to the rift and enter -- you'll be in a room of spiders. Run south (the shadow spiders should ignore you at this level) and take the portal.
Sip your antifire potion and have at them. The baby black dragons are a nuisance, and even at this level can hurt you if they gang up, so stay away from them or block them behind obstacles.
Summon your pack yak and put bones and hides in it as you get them. Since you'll be in constant combat, remember that you can "use" items on the familiar to store them.
Continue until your inventory is full and/or you are out of supplies. Hit your home teleport tablet, recharge prayer at your house altar, and then use your amulet of glory to return to Edgeville.
At this level and with the pack yak, you can kill about 112 per hour, which makes it pretty good money (and decent combat XP too, though you may not care at this point!)
