Please Whitelist This Site?

I know everyone hates ads. But please understand that I am providing premium content for free that takes hundreds of hours of time to research and write. If I can't make at least a little bit of money to support my family via this site, I'll have to stop working on it.

One alternative is to become a RuneScoop member. It's cheap, you get access to all of the site with no ads, and you help keep the lights on around here.

If you want to use this site for free, I'd be grateful if you could add RuneScoop to the whitelist for Adblock. To do so, just open the Adblock menu and select "Disable on Runescoop.com". Or go to the Tools menu and select "Adblock Plus Preferences...". Then click "Add Filter..." at the bottom, and add this string: "@@http://*runescoop.com/*". Then just click OK.

Thanks for your understanding!

Sincerely... Qeltar, aka Charles, your hard-working host and RuneScape guide-writer extraordinaire. :)

General Method Description

Gargoyles are one of the highest level Slayer monsters in RuneScape, and one of the least popular for players fighting them just for combat or drops. Traditionally this has been due to two main reasons: low-valued drops, and the difficulty of fighting them while multitasking. The latter issue arises because you must bring a rock hammer and "use" it on the monster when it is near death to finish it off; many players consider this a nuisance. But the drops issue has changed dramatically, due to the high demand for granite mauls, which are the gargoyle's unique drop. You can usually get about one of these per hour, in addition to some other goodies as well.

The fastest way to kill gargoyles is using the Dharoks set; this provides about a 15% kill rate advantage over a whip and defender. But you obviously need to be careful doing this, and from a profit standpoint, also need to take into account the cost of repairing the armor at your armor stand.

I take with a spirit terrorbird here in case I get lucky with the unnoted bar drops these monsters sometimes provide.
