I know everyone hates ads. But please understand that I am providing premium content for free that takes hundreds of hours of time to research and write. If I can't make at least a little bit of money to support my family via this site, I'll have to stop working on it.
One alternative is to become a RuneScoop member. It's cheap, you get access to all of the site with no ads, and you help keep the lights on around here.
If you want to use this site for free, I'd be grateful if you could add RuneScoop to the whitelist for Adblock. To do so, just open the Adblock menu and select "Disable on Runescoop.com". Or go to the Tools menu and select "Adblock Plus Preferences...". Then click "Add Filter..." at the bottom, and add this string: "@@http://*runescoop.com/*". Then just click OK.
Thanks for your understanding!
Sincerely... Qeltar, aka Charles, your hard-working host and RuneScape guide-writer extraordinaire. :)

Method Description, Instructions and Tips for Success
General Description
Brutal green dragons are a higher level version of their more famous level 79 brethren. They are much tougher, with far more hitpoints, a nasty melee attack, dragonfire attack and a magic attack tossed in for good measure. You cannot kill brutal green dragons as quickly as you can regular green dragons, but they make up for this with their drops. Each provides two green dragonhides and one set of dragon bones per kill, in addition to a nice selection of other items: blood runes in abundance, nature and law runes, adamant knives, arrows and other gear, and even items such as rune full helms and chainbodies.
While these are certainly tough customers, they can be killed fairly consistently and safely with ranged attacks if you use the right technique. And at extremely high levels, you can make use of the pack yak pouch and Veracs with prayer to allow you to kill much larger numbers of dragons per hour.
Specific Method Details
Get to any bank and equip yourself as described above, then set your combat style to "Spike". A Soul Wars cape is the best choice for its defensive and prayer bonuses; if you don't have one, the Ardougne cloak 3 is recommended for both its prayer and stab attack bonus.
Take out of the bank a pack yak familiar, 30 Winter Storage scrolls, a games necklace (any number of charges), a Teleport to House tablet, 4-dose antifire potion, 3-dose super set, four 4-dose and one 2-dose prayer potions, four sets of alching runes, your holy wrench, four cakes (or other inexpensive food) and eight strawberry baskets.
Rub the necklace to teleport to Barbarian Outpost, then drop it on the ground. (You can also save it using the deposit box in Barbarian Assault, but that costs you time -- it's your choice.) Run south to the whirlpool and jump in. When you appear in the landing area, take your first dose of your antifire potion and your super set. Put on Protection from Magic and Piety and go down the stairs. Run all the way south to the main area where the dragons are -- this is to avoid being annoyed by the waterfiends near the entrance -- and summon the pack yak.
Start fighting. At first your inventory will be quite full, and so you may need to do some "juggling". Remember that you can "use" the dragonhides on the pack yak to store them within it, and also use your Winter Storage scrolls. As you get hurt, start by eating your cakes, to open up some inventory space both to hold drops and to let you empty the strawberry baskets.
Brutal green dragons can attack from a long distance, but do your best to try to stay in one area so they eventually become unaggressive -- this makes life a lot simpler. Be sure to watch carefully for the message that your antifire potion is wearing off, and take another dose as needed. Take the second super set dose around 7 or 8 minutes after starting combat, and the third dose about 7 or 8 minutes after that.
After a total of around 23 or so minutes of fighting, you should be finding your inventory about full, as well as supplies dwindling. Click your teletab, recharge prayer in your house, then use a portal in your house to get to a bank and repeat the process.
Finally, be careful not to push your luck with this method -- if you run out of prayer points and potions, get out, or you risk massive dragonbreath damage!
