I know everyone hates ads. But please understand that I am providing premium content for free that takes hundreds of hours of time to research and write. If I can't make at least a little bit of money to support my family via this site, I'll have to stop working on it.
One alternative is to become a RuneScoop member. It's cheap, you get access to all of the site with no ads, and you help keep the lights on around here.
If you want to use this site for free, I'd be grateful if you could add RuneScoop to the whitelist for Adblock. To do so, just open the Adblock menu and select "Disable on Runescoop.com". Or go to the Tools menu and select "Adblock Plus Preferences...". Then click "Add Filter..." at the bottom, and add this string: "@@http://*runescoop.com/*". Then just click OK.
Thanks for your understanding!
Sincerely... Qeltar, aka Charles, your hard-working host and RuneScape guide-writer extraordinaire. :)

Method Description, Instructions and Tips for Success
General Description
Blue dragons give guaranteed valuable drops in their bones and hides, along with other items on occasion, and a small number of Summoning charms. Because of the high value of their drops, they have traditionally been one of the most popular monsters for players looking to train and/or make money. At one time, it was very difficult to even find an "open" spawn to fight them regularly, but this has changed over the last year or so. It is now not difficult at all to find a dragon to fight, especially if you use the Ogre Enclave, which has six dragons. Since this dungeon requires the Watchtower quest to be completed, there are fewer players who can access it, and if you choose a relatively empty world, you can often find two adjacent dragons so you can keep fighting without having to wait for respawn.
At extremely high levels, I like to switch gears and take advantage of a couple of advanced abilities. I use super antifire potions (level 85 Herblore required) to allow me to make use of two-handed weapons, and then fight the dragons using Dharoks. This is not very dangerous (since blue dragons don't hit very often, nor very hard), and you can get a lot of kills very quickly. I combine this with the pack yak's Winter Storage scrolls to let me stay for a full hour per trip rather than having to run back and forth to the bank constantly. This is a trade-off, because the scrolls themselves are worth about 400 gp each, but the extra kills you get make it worthwhile.
Note that for the extremely high level method to work, you need to find a world where there are two free adjacent dragon spawns -- killing them is so fast that otherwise you'll be sitting around waiting for respawns.
Specific Method Details
Starting at Castle Wars, put on Dharoks and the other gear shown, and take out all of the supplies listed above from the bank. Do not summon the pack yak yet. Set your Summoning left-click option to "Special Attack" (which in this case is Winter Storage, not an attack, of course.)
Run east from Castle Wars, then south over the bridge and far east towards Yanille. Then go up the ramp towards the Ogre Enclave and through the gate, south towards the dungeon entrance and into it.
Drink one dose of your super set. If your hitpoints are already low, drink a super antifire as well; otherwise, wait and you can let a couple of dragon blasts knock your HP down for you (be careful, though! Find two adjacent unoccupied dragons, summon the yak, and start fighting. Pick up the bones, dragonhides, nature or water runes and other valuable drops (good herbs, rune daggers and so forth). Use the Winter Storage scrolls immediately to help keep your inventory clear, by banking bones, hides and other "keeper" drops. Alch items like mithril kiteshields and so forth. You may find that you are killing the dragons so fast that you run out of special move energy for your yak. Remember that it can store 30 items itself, and you also have Summoning potions, brought along for this very purpose.
Use the strawberry baskets for healing, and take another super set dose every 7 or 8 minutes. Be sure to watch for the message saying your super antifire is about to wear off, and take another dose immediately -- don't push your luck, or you could get killed if it does wear off completely at the wrong time.
When your yak is about to disappear, use Home Teleport to get to Lumbridge, run to the bank and store your goodies. Return to Castle Wars, recharge your Summoning points at the obelisk there, and repeat.
