Beastopedia Monster Pages - General Drop Information This is the smallest table found in Beastopedia monster pages, but one that contains some rather important information. It tells you which items this monster drops all the time and also what its special or noteworthy drops are. The table also shows which valuable or useful items this monster can generally be considered worth killing to obtain.. Heres a detailed description of the general drop information entries. 100% Drops Sponsored links help make RuneScoop possible; RuneScoop members don't see them. See here for more information about ads. This is a listing of all of the items that you are guaranteed to get as drops each time you kill this monster. Most beasts have a remains drop of some sort: bones, big bones and ashes are the most common, though there are some oddball ones as well (water elementals drop a vial of water when killed). Certain monsters also drop other useful resources on each kill, such as color dragons (dragonhide), unicorns (unicorn horns) and so forth. Of course, some monster have no guaranteed drop at all. Note that in addition to appearing in this list, all 100% drop items are also included explicitly in drop logs for the monster in question (even if they are usually not picked up, like regular bones.) So if you kill 120 skeletons in an hour, there will be an entry showing 120 bones in the miscellaneous section of the drop log. Special Drops These are valuable, rare or distinctive items that the monster is known to drop, and may include high-valued equipment or specialty articles used in quests or for other purposes. For example, the mithril dragon has four special drops: the rare dragon full helm and draconic visage, ancient pages (which contain lore about the Ancient Cavern where the dragons live) and chewed bones (which can be pyred for XP and items). It is possible for the same item to appear in the special drops lists of more than one monster. Good Source Items A listing of the items for which this monster is generally considered a good source, along with approximately how many of the item a very high level player can reasonably expect to obtain per hour of combat. For a full explanation of how I determine what items to put in this field, and how I figure out the numbers, please see the topic on the Good Sources List. Note that there are some monsters for which I have tested multiple combat methods. In this case you will see several listings here, with different quantities based on the speed of each method. Also, in the case of monsters that are fought in tandem, there will be a note here specifying that the quantities represent combined totals from all of them.
