I know everyone hates ads. But please understand that I am providing premium content for free that takes hundreds of hours of time to research and write. If I can't make at least a little bit of money to support my family via this site, I'll have to stop working on it.
One alternative is to become a RuneScoop member. It's cheap, you get access to all of the site with no ads, and you help keep the lights on around here.
If you want to use this site for free, I'd be grateful if you could add RuneScoop to the whitelist for Adblock. To do so, just open the Adblock menu and select "Disable on Runescoop.com". Or go to the Tools menu and select "Adblock Plus Preferences...". Then click "Add Filter..." at the bottom, and add this string: "@@http://*runescoop.com/*". Then just click OK.
Thanks for your understanding!
Sincerely... Qeltar, aka Charles, your hard-working host and RuneScape guide-writer extraordinaire. :)

Suqah {Melee Only} - Access and Combat Recommendations
Access Directions
Suqahs are found only on Lunar Isle; you must at least partially complete Lunar Diplomacy to access the island. Get there quickly using the Moonclan Teleport spell if you have Lunar Magicks enabled; otherwise, you must take the longer sea route. Speak to Lokar Searunner on the docks in Rellekka -- you must have a Seal of Passage with you -- and he'll take you to Pirate's Cove. Go up the ladder and board his ship, then ask the captain to take you to Lunar Isle. Disembark and bank on the island.
The Suqahs are found mainly in the northeast and southeast parts of the island. To fight the ones that use only melee, go to the southeast; a good spot is just over the bridge that leads to the astral altar; there are two suqahs there near a tar barrel.
Note that you must keep your Seal of Passage on you at all times to use the bank on the island, unless you also complete the sequel quest Dream Mentor -- this lets you bank without the seal by using the eastern-most bank window.
Equipment
These monsters can be meleed head-on; I recommend high defence armor for this. You can also wear regular ranging or maging gear and fight them from safe spots. No special equipment is needed.
You can also Dharok them (which is effective) and/or use a cannon to speed up kills if desired.
Supplies
These monsters are quite near a bank, and even though it is multicombat there aren't many around so you won't get teamed too badly. This means you don't need to use expensive high-healing food; in fact, I sometimes just use cheap food and get a fresh load periodically when I unload drops. As always, I use super sets to speed up combat and reduce damage taken.
These monsters have nothing worth alching, so you don't need alching runes.
Familiar
Use a beast of burden if banking bones and herbs, a healing familiar otherwise. (You could also use a combat familiar but there's not much point.)
Combat Notes
These are rather straightforward melee monsters and much easier to kill than the Suqah {Melee and Magic}. The magic-using suqahs can be killed faster, though, and provide some Summoning charms (though not many.)
Note that some sources claim that the suqahs wielding two blades are melee only and the ones with a shield use melee and magic, but that's not quite the case. The dual-wielders are indeed melee only, but only some of the ones with a shield cast spells.
Drop Notes
Both suqah types have rather pathetic drops: they drop big bones, which are useful if you are willing to spend time banking them, but things go downhill rapidly from there. Suqah hides have no use after the Lunar Diplomacy quest (though I hope that will eventually change) and suqah teeth are needed only rarely in Farming. Beyond those items, they also drop herbs, but only guam and marrentill and the occasional gem. (Note that this is one place where a macaw doesn't even help with the herbs; guam and marrentill is all you get).
You can offset these monsters' awful drops by banking big bones; a beast of burden will help with this. Another option is to click on the tar barrel regularly to get from 1 to as many as 10 or more swamp tar; this slows down kill rate slightly, but the tar can be used in Herblore and is fairly valuable. Like other tar barrels, the number you get each time is random, and then you must wait 30 seconds for it to respawn.
