Please Whitelist This Site?

I know everyone hates ads. But please understand that I am providing premium content for free that takes hundreds of hours of time to research and write. If I can't make at least a little bit of money to support my family via this site, I'll have to stop working on it.

One alternative is to become a RuneScoop member. It's cheap, you get access to all of the site with no ads, and you help keep the lights on around here.

If you want to use this site for free, I'd be grateful if you could add RuneScoop to the whitelist for Adblock. To do so, just open the Adblock menu and select "Disable on Runescoop.com". Or go to the Tools menu and select "Adblock Plus Preferences...". Then click "Add Filter..." at the bottom, and add this string: "@@http://*runescoop.com/*". Then just click OK.

Thanks for your understanding!

Sincerely... Qeltar, aka Charles, your hard-working host and RuneScape guide-writer extraordinaire. :)

Elf Warrior {Lleyta} - Access and Combat Recommendations

Access Directions

This monster is the same as the Elf Warrior {Elf Camp} (Level 108), except for differences in location and drops. Fighting in Lleyta is much more convenient, as it is fast to get to with an Elven teleport crystal, and there's a bank and prayer altar nearby.

On the downside, the Lleyta elves drop uncharged and partly charged Elven teleport crystals instead of seeds, which are obviously less useful in most cases. .The Lleyta ones also don't drop charms, which obviously matters to those training Summoning.

To get to Lleyta, just an elf teleport crystal; the two level 108 warriors are right at the teleport spot. If you don't have one, you'll have to get to the Tyras Camp using the charter ship system.

Once in the camp, head north through dense forest, then bend to the east and then continue gradually turning southeast through more dense forest. Pass a tripwire and turn east, going through still more dense forest. Turn northwest, looking for and going over a stick pass to the northeast. Go east to some dense forest, pass through it, then go over a tripwire and the main entrance to Lleyta is just to the east.

Equipment

Since you are fighting right near an altar, my traditional advice has been to wear prayer gear. I now recommend wearing Veracs armor along with other prayer-enhancing items; this gives you both prayer boosts and enough defence that you don't need to use protection (or deflection) prayers. Instead you can use Turmoil or Piety to avoid damage and speed up kills.

Use Zamorak brews and super strength potions, and recharge as necessary at the altar.

Bring some alching runes for the rather frequent armor and weapon drops.

Supplies

You are right near both a bank and an altar, which means you don't need a lot in the way of supplies. Assuming you are following my advice about using Piety or Turmoil, just bring a super set, some alching runes (for the rather frequent armor and weapon drops), and a bit of inexpensive food. You can then refill supplies at the bank as necessary.

Familiar

There's no real need for a beast of burden here, especially if not keeping the crystals they drop. The two best choices are either a healing familiar like a bunyip (in which case you don't need any food), or a forager like a magpie. This latter option will allow you to make money from the rings and gems the familiar collects, and you can just heal using inexpensive food like salmon.

Combat Notes

As mentioned above, I recommend using Turmoil (if you have the high Prayer level needed) or Piety (if not), due to the proximity of the altar. Even with the time needed to recharge your prayer every 8 minutes or so, you'll come out ahead.

There are a few obstacles you can use to safe spot these for ranging or maging. You'll need to be more than two squares away, as their pikes act like halberds.

Drop Notes

Elves are a good source of water runes and also provide a decent number of nature runes and alchables, along with smaller amounts of other items. The ones in the Elf Camp also provide decent numbers of high-level herb seeds and charms; the ones in Lleyta give no charms or seeds but drop uncharged and partially charged teleport crystals. While not really that valuable, having a decent number of these can be handy for certain activities, such as chopping the magic trees just southwest of Lleyta.
