I know everyone hates ads. But please understand that I am providing premium content for free that takes hundreds of hours of time to research and write. If I can't make at least a little bit of money to support my family via this site, I'll have to stop working on it.
One alternative is to become a RuneScoop member. It's cheap, you get access to all of the site with no ads, and you help keep the lights on around here.
If you want to use this site for free, I'd be grateful if you could add RuneScoop to the whitelist for Adblock. To do so, just open the Adblock menu and select "Disable on Runescoop.com". Or go to the Tools menu and select "Adblock Plus Preferences...". Then click "Add Filter..." at the bottom, and add this string: "@@http://*runescoop.com/*". Then just click OK.
Thanks for your understanding!
Sincerely... Qeltar, aka Charles, your hard-working host and RuneScape guide-writer extraordinaire. :)

Access Directions
These snakes are found in the underground tunnels that connect Miscellania and Etceteria; you visited them during the quest Royal Trouble, where you fight a high-level "boss snake".
I suggest getting to Etceteria in whatever way is most convenient (boat from Rellekka, running from the fairy ring in Miscellania etc.) and banking in the north of that island. Then run counter-clockwise around the castle (you can't go the other way) to the trap door on its southeast corner. Go down and the snakes are right there.
Equipment
Higher-level players can wear standard melee gear; mid-level players may wish to use Guthans (in which case you should use a whip and defender and switch to the spear only when healing is needed.) However, the use of a healing familiar makes Guthans somewhat redundant even for those without the best of combat stats.
These are good monsters to use Dharoks on as well. They don't hit very hard, and you can use the poison to knock your LP down at the start. (Just be careful about the poison thereafter!)
These can also be ranged or maged; they are big enough that trapping them behind obstacles is doable, so you can wear standard gear.
Supplies
These monsters continuously poison on contact, with a maximum of about 70 LP, so you need super antipoisons, one dose for every six minutes or so of combat. In addition, as always, I recommend super sets. You will need to bring food; this can be inexpensive if you plan to bank frequently, but should be higher in quality if you are planning to stay a while. Sea snake young do drop five edible seaweed, which heals 20 total, but only infrequently.
If you collect or use pearl bolt tips, bring a chisel to use on the oyster pearls they drop.
Familiar
There are two ways to go here. If you want to just go down there and fight, use a healing familiar. If you want to collect and save drops -- especially their big bones -- then use a beast of burden.
Combat Notes
These monsters are quite straightforward, as long as you remember your super antipoisons! If you forget it, go back to the bank -- you won't last long otherwise.
Drop Notes
Sea snake young have mostly rather mundane drops, so it is not really worth fighting them unless you get them as a (rare) Slayer assignment. You do get big bones for each kill -- which is nice -- and if you're lucky you can score some valuable herb seeds like snapdragon or torstol. Most of the rest of their drops are rather junky, though.
