I know everyone hates ads. But please understand that I am providing premium content for free that takes hundreds of hours of time to research and write. If I can't make at least a little bit of money to support my family via this site, I'll have to stop working on it.
One alternative is to become a RuneScoop member. It's cheap, you get access to all of the site with no ads, and you help keep the lights on around here.
If you want to use this site for free, I'd be grateful if you could add RuneScoop to the whitelist for Adblock. To do so, just open the Adblock menu and select "Disable on Runescoop.com". Or go to the Tools menu and select "Adblock Plus Preferences...". Then click "Add Filter..." at the bottom, and add this string: "@@http://*runescoop.com/*". Then just click OK.
Thanks for your understanding!
Sincerely... Qeltar, aka Charles, your hard-working host and RuneScape guide-writer extraordinaire. :)

Enter the Chaos Tunnels at the gargoyle entrance, northwest of Edgeville. Enter the portal right at the entrance and you'll be in a narrow room with both the skeletons and also level 40 zombies.
If you take the portal just north of the entrance in the gargoyle room you get to a different room also containing the same monsters, but more of them. This is useful if chinning, but bad if meleeing!
Equipment
Very high-level players (combat 120+) can get by with regular melee gear (granite/dragon), especially if using a healing familiar or Saradomin godsword. Others should either use Guthans or prayer gear. Fighting with chinchompas should be done with a balance of prayer and range attack enhancing equipment.
A Salve amulet should be useful here as well, since these are undead.
Supplies
For meleeing, super sets and a load of good food are essential. If not using Guthans, also bring Bones to Peaches runes or tablets. If praying, substitute Zamorak brews and super strengths for the super sets, and bring prayer potions (about five 4-dose per hour, depending on gear and Prayer level.)
Bring about 20 sets of alching runes per hour, and a one-click teleport in case of trouble.
Familiar
A combat familiar can help here, since the Chaos Tunnels are multicombat, and a healing familiar is an obvious choice as well.
Combat Notes
Taken one at a time, these are no big deal for a high-level player. The problem is that when you first enter the tunnels they are aggressive, and the area is multicombat so you get swarmed. To make matters worse, the level 40 zombies are also aggressive, even to high-level players, and they hit higher than their level would lead you to believe. For this reason you will use a fair bit of healing until they become unaggressive. After that, they are fairly easy. Beware, though, that if you get kidnapped by a random, when you return they will all attack again.
During their aggressive phase, try to maneuver yourself so that you don't have too many attacking. Of course, if you're using Protection from Melee, it doesn't matter anyway.
If you are using chinchompas, then of course, you want as many of them on you as possible. You may even wish to leave and re-enter when they stop being aggressive.
Drop Notes
These monsters drop an odd selection of potions, bars, alchables (low-level weapons and armor) and other items. Overall you get little of value, so these are killed more for XP than drops. That said, they are a decent source of blue charms for Summoning.
I should have used a Salve amulet here instead of the amulet of fury, but I forgot. Oops! :) I'm also not 100% sure about the level of the clue scroll. Finally, use cheaper food, pineapple pizzas aren't needed.
