Jungle Horror - Access and Combat Recommendations

Access Directions	Get to the island by going to Bill Teach on his ship in Port Phasmastys and right-clicking him, or using the charter ships. Then bank on the island. Jungle horrors used to be very spread out, which made killing them a nuisance, but this was changed in the June 2008 Slayer update. You can now find them in decent quantities just north of the entrance to town, which is very convenient since the town has a bank.
Equipment	Standard melee gear. Granite or better gear recommended; Barrows not necessary.
Supplies	Super sets are recommended, and you will also need some food for healing. Since you can fight these so close to a bank you can restock easily, so cheap food is fine (I use salmon or cakes). Note that these monsters don't drop unnoted pineapples any more, so that's no longer a healing option, but again that's not a problem because of their proximity to a bank. Bring with an antipoison if also killing snakes in the area to get hides.
Familiar	A beast of burden is the best choice here, to bank their unnoted drops.
Combat Notes	Jungle horrors are easy to kill: they have few life points and low defence. They are just rather annoying.
Drop Notes	These monsters' drops were improved in the big Slayer update, but they are still rather hum-drum... a few seeds, some logs, and a lot of crap. For this reason, many players combine fighting them with killing the snakes in the same area, which drop valuable hides that are used in both Crafting and Summoning.
