Please Whitelist This Site?

I know everyone hates ads. But please understand that I am providing premium content for free that takes hundreds of hours of time to research and write. If I can't make at least a little bit of money to support my family via this site, I'll have to stop working on it.

One alternative is to become a RuneScoop member. It's cheap, you get access to all of the site with no ads, and you help keep the lights on around here.

If you want to use this site for free, I'd be grateful if you could add RuneScoop to the whitelist for Adblock. To do so, just open the Adblock menu and select "Disable on Runescoop.com". Or go to the Tools menu and select "Adblock Plus Preferences...". Then click "Add Filter..." at the bottom, and add this string: "@@http://*runescoop.com/*". Then just click OK.

Thanks for your understanding!

Sincerely... Qeltar, aka Charles, your hard-working host and RuneScape guide-writer extraordinaire. :)

Fever Spider - Access and Combat Recommendations

Access Directions

Fever spiders are located in the basement of the brewery on Braindeath Island. Use your ectophial to go to Port Phasmatys and speak with Pirate Pete on the dock. Tell him you want to go to Braindeath... he'll knock you out and you'll find yourself on the island. Run south, then west, to a ladder, go downstairs and the spiders are there.

Equipment

Standard melee gear is sufficient for these. You can trap them on obstacles to safe spot for ranging or maging.

You need to wear slayer gloves to protect yourself from the disease these spiders carry.

Supplies

No supplies are needed.

Familiar

I'd bring a forager like a magpie here, since you aren't going to get a lot to carry. You could instead use a beast of burden and hope you get lucky. :)

Combat Notes

These are very easy monsters to kill -- and rather boring, too.

Drop Notes

The only drop fever spiders give is grimy kwuarm. You can get a decent number of them per hour, but they don't drop anything else, so the overall drop value is marginal.
