Please Whitelist This Site?

I know everyone hates ads. But please understand that I am providing premium content for free that takes hundreds of hours of time to research and write. If I can't make at least a little bit of money to support my family via this site, I'll have to stop working on it.

One alternative is to become a RuneScoop member. It's cheap, you get access to all of the site with no ads, and you help keep the lights on around here.

If you want to use this site for free, I'd be grateful if you could add RuneScoop to the whitelist for Adblock. To do so, just open the Adblock menu and select "Disable on Runescoop.com". Or go to the Tools menu and select "Adblock Plus Preferences...". Then click "Add Filter..." at the bottom, and add this string: "@@http://*runescoop.com/*". Then just click OK.

Thanks for your understanding!

Sincerely... Qeltar, aka Charles, your hard-working host and RuneScape guide-writer extraordinaire. :)

Water Elemental - Access and Combat Recommendations

Access Directions

These monsters are in the Elemental Workshop, which is in the basement of the building just to the west of the bank in Seers' Village. To fight them you must have partially completed the Elemental Workshop quest.

To fight them after the quest is done, first get another battered key by looking in the book shelves in the room southwest of the bank (where the range is). Be sure to click through when you find the book and you'll get the key as well. Take the key and head into the building west of the bank, and go through the crack in the wall, then down the stairs. The elementals are to the north near the waterwheel.

Equipment

These are fairly easy monsters and can be fought using pretty much any gear. No special equipment is required.

Supplies

I recommend super attack and super strength potions (as always); super defence potions can save you some food but aren't needed for very high level players.

Mid-level and lower players may need some food; high-level players will not.

Familiar

This area is actually multi-combat, so you could use a combat familiar, but these elementals have few life points so there's not really much point. If you want to bank the water vials they drop, bring a beast of burden.

Combat Notes

These are very simple monsters and can be killed pretty simply with any method.

Drop Notes

Water elementals are notable for their 100% drop, which is of a vial of water. In theory this might make them a good source of getting water vials for Herblore; in practice, since the vials are unnoted, when you include all the time needed to run back and forth to the bank, you're better off getting vials in other ways.

These monsters are also good rune droppers -- especially water runes, big surprise there! -- and provide a few herbs here and there as well. They do not drop charms.
