Giant Bat - Access and Combat Recommendations

Access Directions

Giant bats are found in many locations, but the Taverley spot is probably the easiest, and also has a large number of bats.

To get there, hop the west wall in Falador and go northwest to the dungeon entrance (you can also use the balloon from Castle Wars to Taverley.) Enter the dungeon, go north and through the gate, head east and open another gate and you're there.

Equipment

Standard melee, ranged or magic gear as appropriate.

Supplies

Lower-level players will need some food, but not much. Super attack and super strength pots are recommended, as always, to speed kills and increase the percentage of one-hit kills.

Familiar

You can use a beast of burden if collecting bat bones, otherwise a forager is a decent bet.

Combat Notes

These are simple monsters with no special techniques required to kill them. They are larger than one square, and so are also easy to trap for safe spotting.

Drop Notes

They drop only bat bones, but these give more XP than regular bones, which makes them worth more. Bats also give a nice number of charms if you are high enough level to kill them fast.
