White Wolf - Access and Combat Recommendations
Access Directions
Bank in either the Grand Tree or in Al-Kharid and use the gnome gliders to get right to the mountain. The best spot is just west of the glider captain.
If you are banking wolf bones, it's quick and easy to bank at the Grand Tree and then return to the mountain.
Equipment
Standard melee, ranged or magic gear as appropriate. Lower-level players may wish to use prayer gear, especially if cannoning.
Supplies
Lower-level players will need some food, but not much. Super attack and super strength pots are recommended, as always, to speed kills and increase the percentage of one-hit kills.
Familiar
A beast of burden is handy for carrying extra wolf bones.
Combat Notes
White Wolf Mountain is populated mainly by the White Wolf (Level 25), with a few of the White Wolf (Level 38) and one Big Wolf. They are all pretty much the same, except the higher-level wolves more frequently drop charms. Given this, and since they have a very slow respawn rate, I recommend fighting all of them at once.
These wolves are easy to kill, but remember that they're in a multicombat area, so lower-level players should watch out for "ganging up". When the Big Wolf respawns, kill it quickly as it does the most damage.
Drop Notes
The only real point to killing wolves is to get the wolf bones, which are now valuable for the Summoning skill. As mentioned above, the higher-level wolves drop charms more often.
Mostly level 25 white wolves, with some level 38 wolves and the occasional level 73 as it spawns. The level 73 dropped a disproportionate number of the charms.
