Goat - Access and Combat Recommendations

Access Directions

These goats are found usually with one Billy Goat in several locations in the Kharidian desert. The best spot I've found is just west of the bank in Nardah, where there are three goats and one billy goat.

To get to Nardah quickly, use the Pharaoh's sceptre to teleport to the Agility Pyramid and run northeast. Failing that, take the magic carpet from Al-Kharid to Pollnivneach, then another carpet over the river to Nardah.

Equipment

Standard melee gear is fine, except that you need something to protect from the desert heat. If you've finished Dealing with Scabaras, the enchanted water tiara is perfect. Otherwise you need waterskins.

Supplies

Super attack and super strength potions may help you kill these faster; just drink doses in the bank as needed and put the potions back, so you have more room for horns.

High-level players don't need food; mid-level and lower players can just top up on food in the bank as needed.

Familiar

I recommend a spirit terrorbird familiar to carry extra horns between banking runs, or a pack yak if you can summon one.

Combat Notes

These are mundane monsters that can be quickly killed using any style; melee is fastest and cheapest.

You'll fight these and the Billy Goat found in the same area at the same time; they are identical except the higher-level goats can hit a bit harder and have a few more life points.

Drop Notes

The only reason to kill these is for their horns, which are used in both Herblore and Summoning.
