Small Lizard - Access and Combat Recommendations

Access Directions	Use the fairy rings, code "D L Q"; this drops you just southeast of the area where these and the Desert Lizards are located.
Equipment	Wear standard melee, ranged or magic gear as appropriate. If you have the enchanted water tiara from the quest Dealing with Scabaras, it is recommended to avoid having to futz around with waterskins in the desert. Otherwise, these monsters drop a fair number of waterskins, which you can use to supplement ones you bring yourself.
Supplies	You need one ice cooler for each kill. Be sure to bring extras (especially if doing these for a Slayer assignment) as you will waste one if you use it too early. I use one super attack and one super strength potion per hour on these (half my usual rate) since they are so low level. You don't need food here; they rarely hit and they drop tons of kebabs.
Familiar	There's no particular need for any specific familiar here, so just use a forager.
Combat Notes	These are very easy to kill, it's just a bit of a nuisance having to use the ice coolers. Fight them in combination with the Desert Lizards in the same area, since they are basically the same. You can use a cooler on the lizard when it has 40 LP or less, so if you hit over 110 on your first attack, use the cooler on it immediately.
Drop Notes	Drops for these monsters were slightly improved in the June 2008 Slayer update; most notably, their coal and iron ore drops are now noted, which lets you keep these ores without needing to bank. Lizards drop lots of fire runes and often drop fire runes and an herb at the same time.

Log Notes	About 2/3 of the kills were the small lizards and 1/3 the desert lizards, since there are more of the former.	This monster sometimes drops two items at once. Ores are unnoted (Edit: they were anyway!) but you can carry them back to the Zanaris bank using the fairy ring, or even superheat them on the spot using the runes that the lizards drop.
