Dwarf - Access and Combat Recommendations

Access Directions

You can get to these dwarves in two basic ways. First, you can run from Edgeville northwest, west and then south to the entrance to the Dwarven Mines below Ice Mountain. Go a bit south and there are dwarves all over the place; I like the spot southeast of the ladder near the terminus of the mine carts. Alternatively, you can bank in Falador and enter the mine using the stairs in the small house in far northeast Falador. Run north past the scorpions to the dwarves.

Note that there are also a few of these kicking around above ground along the road between Falador and Barbarian Village, but it's not really worth fighting them there.

Equipment

Wear standard melee, ranged or magic gear as appropriate.

Supplies

No supplies strictly necessary, but I still use one super attack and one super strength potion per hour to speed up kills.

If you are mid level, I recommend something to restore run energy. You will kill the dwarves very quickly (often in one hit) and since they wander, you run around a fair bit. Use energy or super energy potions, or the scroll from a bull ant or spirit terrorbird familiar.

Familiar

A beast of burden will let you take home more of their ore and bar drops, and the scrolls from the lower-level beasts can help with energy as mentioned above.

Combat Notes

These simple monsters don't require any special preparation.

Drop Notes

Dwarves drop items related to Mining and Smithing, such as ores, bars, pickaxes and so forth. They are also decent charm droppers, giving a good assortment of colors in reasonable amounts for a level 10 monster.
