Al-Kharid Warrior - Access and Combat Recommendations

Access Directions

These soldiers can be found all over the desert town of Al-Kharid. The best place to fight them is within the castle, either in the room west or east of the central room you enter into from the north.

Equipment

These are low-level monsters so any standard gear is fine. Very high-level players could even get by without any armor at all...

Supplies

I recommend a super attack and super strength potion to increase your kill speed; I use one potion per hour (half my normal amount) since these are low level.

Low-level and mid-level players need food; high-level players do not. Note that there is a cabbage spawn in the west room of the castle, and the soldiers themselves also drop cabbage once in a while.

Familiar

This is a multicombat area so a combat familiar can help you fight, though with these having only 190 LP this is only worthwhile for lower-level players. Similarly, a beast of burden can help you carry herb drops, but there's a bank so close by that this is of arguable value. You're better off with a macaw, to give you a higher percentage of more valuable herbs.

Combat Notes

Al-Kharid warriors have somewhat unique aggressiveness behavior: they are initially unaggressive, but if you attack one, all the other soldiers within a certain range will scream out "Brother, I will help thee with this infidel!" and rush to attack you. This is not a big deal for higher-level players -- in fact, it is convenient -- but for low-level players this can be dangerous since the area is multicombat. Otherwise, these are straightforward melee monsters that don't require any special treatment. They're a good source of herbs for new players, as well as providing lots of bronze bolts and a few useful runes.

Drop Notes

These are decent herb droppers, though not the best, and also provide small numbers of runes and beginner equipment.
