Dark Wizard - Access and Combat Recommendations

Access Directions

The best place to fight these is in combination with Dark Wizards (Level 20) in the stone circle just south of Varrock. Bank in that town and head south out of it and the circle is right there.

If you are over level 41 you won't be attacked by the level 20s and could fight just the 7s, but for high-level players there are too few to keep you busy, so do both.

Equipment

Wear ranging gear (dragonhide) for magic defence if meleeing or ranging; wear magic robes if maging.

Supplies

I use one super attack and one super strength potion per hour on these (half my usual rate) since they are so low level.

No food is needed for high-level players; mid-levels will need some, and low-levels quite a bit. Of course, the circle is right near a town with three banks, so supplies aren't a big problem.

Familiar

No particular familiar comes to mind here, so use a forager for the value of its drops.

Combat Notes

These are simple, easy monsters to kill, as long as you are reasonably high level. Note that the level 20s hit much harder than the level 7s, so watch out for them if you are a newer player.

Drop Notes

These wizards are a good source of runes for low-level and mid-level players.
