The circus. How do you do it well?

I can't seem to get over a 700. I got a 900 at rage the other day, but I can't replicate it. How do you get better at it? I really want that ringmaster hat...

Wearing your circus clothes improve ratings. Wait until the audience members shout something to do and do that task.

The circus. How do you do it well?

Postby 02pullenc » Sat Oct 11, 2008 3:30 pm

I have 3 pieces of ringmaster, so heres my tips:

First of all, ignore the audience. Completely unnecesarry.

OK, magic:

Take 5 teleport tabs and 5 alchemy tabs. Make sure you are wearing some form of mage clothing and have nothing else in your inventory. Start with an emote, then cast teleport on the anvil. (Yes, the level 99 object). Emote again, then cast alcemy on the anvil. Repeat untill the performance is finished.

At lvl 84 magic I got 1250 points, failing a stunt twice.

Range:

Take 10 of every item, and wear full range gear with nothing else in inventory.

First of all, emote. Then, shoot the ducks with the axes from the level 99 spot. Emote. Knife a duck (yes, I'm THAT evil.) Emote. Arrow a duck. Emote. Repeat untill all duck shots have been taken. Then go over to the spinning wheel. Emote if you didnt after your last stunt, then shoot an arrow at the target from lvl 99 spot. Repeat untill performance is finished. At 81 range I didnt miss and scored 1300 points.

Agility:

Keep everything in your bank and make your weight below 0 if possible. Then, take chinchompas from the juggling box. Emote, juggle chins. Emote, backflip. Repeat untill performance end. At 70 agility I didn't fail, and scored 1300 points.

You can try using potions and prayers, as I think they do have a moderate effect on how well you perform.

The correct equipment is necessary for the circus. With similar performances the outfit and inventory made all the difference between clown and ringmaster.

Hope this has helped. Don't always expect ringmaster of course, but using this method I have always recieved clown +.

Having nothing else in your inventory helps then?

No problem ^_^ . After testing today I found that prayers and potions did help my performance a fairly large amount, so I would recomend using them.

I received ringmaster on my 3rd trip to the circus simply by following what the audience shouts.

Whether I had luck on my side, I'm not sure.

This mostly all works. I believe you can have anything in your inv, it doesn't matter. I'm SURE weight doesn't matter on agility, I usually get 1400+ doing the level 99s and I'm 70 agility.

I have full ringmaster, clown, acrobat, and 5 pieces of renfair (the lowest items, which I'm currently getting to finish out the whole set)

I do wish he would give the next lower items if you already have a full set of one type.

Have been getting Acrobat solely the last few times...

easiest way to get the audience clothing is to do a lvl 10 agility/magic/range then stop your performance

I have heard that doing the emote before the 'stunt' helps. Is that true?

it seems to ...do emote, stunt, emote, stunt, etc until finished ...I pretty much do what 02pullenc does except for the clothing ...I usually just wear black d'hides, spottier cape and boots of lightness because that is what I am usually running around in and so far I have gotten all of the ringmaster except for the megaphone, full clown and full acrobat ...now all I need are some bad performances for the crowd clothes. I do all the 99 stunts even though I am only 70 agility, 70 range and 75 Magic and rarely fail them without using any pots.

edit: just make sure you do different emotes, not the same one over and over.

Doing the emotes before rather than after means you get the max 10 emotes instead of 9.

Hmm thanks for this.
Although my level aren't high enough to get ringmaster I probably can get alot more points then I currently am getting.
Also does higher level moves give you more exp?

As far as I can tell, yes. The higher the move you do, the more points you get. It seems you even get points if you mess up on high lvl stunts, although only the first few times.

Someone should add this to the guides index :)

My interest in the circus is not to get the greatest crowd kudos, but to get the greatest amount of "free" experience. Over the past few weeks, I've noticed the two do not appear to equate.

Any experience point observations of others out there. I don't care about the clothing rewards at all.

I was glad to find out the other day that you can destroy the Clothing and pick it back up later from Balthazar...
Had had it in my bank, for the most part taking up space...
