Zogres cut your melee damage into 1/4th the original, rounded down. This means your whip will deal out a maximum of 8 or 9 damage. Brutal arrows deal out their full damage against Zogres while crumble undead maxes at a pathetic 8. This is why the majority, if not all, zogre slaying were done with ranged.
However, as far as ranged is concerned, the comp ogre bow is slow, being the same as a longbow. Plus, you must retrieve the ammunition, find a safespot, etc. I wondered if Dharok's set will satisfy the expectations.
Assuming a max hit of 110 at 99 str (From dried zombies; zogres and skogres are undead so salve amulet will provide the same bonuses), the max hit against zogres with dharoks at 10% HP is approximately 27. Since you are meleeing, combat familiars will be of aid as well. Their damage is not affected, so even a karamthulhu overlord could do quite a bit of damage. The spirit dagannoth would be quite useful as well.
(Steel titans + scroll = ???)
Zogre bones are worth 600 ish.
Ancient bones are worth much more. (5k-7k?)
Suggested inventory: (Pots are 4 dose unless otherwise specified)
-House tele runes/tabs (Use dust rune)
-Z brew: 4 dose
-Relicym's balm (3) x 1 (Drink before banking)
-Prayer potion (2 dose)
Disease doesn't do anything to impact the dharoking experience, since you'll constantly pot with zammy brews.
Equipment:
-Fire cape
-Full dharoks
-Salve amulet (e)
-Barrows gloves
-Dragon boots
-Ring of Dueling
Since Brutal arrows seem to "CRUSH" the zogres, I recommend using dharoks in crush mode.
Method:
-Protect from melee and piety flash the zogres. Call familiar into battle.
-Pick up drops.
-Open coffin
-Recharge prayer at POH
-Bank all bones at castle wars.
-Repeat
-Use a BoB if you want; but it's very close to a bank.
(Q's bestiary seems to lack the zogres
