Effects of Explorer Ring on Air RuneCrafting

Postby Da_Dragon555 » Tue Aug 19, 2008 6:19 am

As a few of you may know, I recently went through an analysis of the Explorer Ring and it's effects on Air Rune Crafting.
Well, I have finally finished my Sample!!! As to whether this seriously affects Higher level RCers, it is currently debatable, as the bonus runes may scale up or down with level.

Stats:
2000 Essence crafted into an (expected) 10000 Air Runes
RuneCrafter with Level 44-46 RC
75 Runs Total (seventy-four with 27, one with 2)
Max Extra: 7, Min Extra: 0

Really don't know what else to say about this, but I hope it may help someone.

Yes, I would assume so.
Realize that this is average. I did come out with a fair number of 1's and 0's...

Oh, and remember, my levels allowed for a multiplier of 5x. 88 air runes would be expected for the level range of 44-54.

Well, it only can be used 3 times per day, it's too insignificant, but somewhat useful.

Three times a Day?
That only refers to the amount of times you can use the ring to recharge energy. The RuneCrafting and Cabbage-Port aspects are unlimited.

Ah, I see, but the cabbage teleport's pretty far from the Air Altar anyway, I think it might be a bit shorter than Falador West bank.

I'm not a statistics major, but it seems like your sample is close enough to the stated 10% for us to be relatively confident that 10% is most likely the actual number. A note on the Explorer's ring for anyone thinking that these results are worthless to them: Use it in the GOP minigame! If you're winning on a regular basis, you'll need to craft airs and earths along the way. Those extra runes really start to add up after a few hours!

And yes, the "charges" of getting extra runes while runecrafting airs, earths, waters, and fires is indeed unlimited. :D

Hmmm. I was not aware that this was stated in the KB. Well anyways, I was crafting a lot of airs at the time for GPs... At time of Start, an Air Rune was going for 15 ea, and Ess bought for 35 ea.
Little more difficult after Ess skyrocketed to 65 ea. (That was the former price for Pure...)
